Hey Dolls!

Its been a lonnnnnnnng time but I am finally back!

It has been a YEAR since my last update! Since then, my life had dramatically changed! I had a beautiful baby boy! He is possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is definitely not an easy thing, being a working mom but I enjoy my life more now. It seems more complete with him in my life. I'm a happy momma.

Anyways, I have been trying and testing lots of new beauty products recently and would like to continue posting reviews on those that deserves the lime light and those horrible horrible ones that deserve some "naughty corner time".

So for my very first post after almost a year in hiatus would be about a beauty supplement, El Marino Blanc.

El Marino is an advanced food formula that contains Red Orange Complex from Italy, the patented antioxidant Viqua, pomegranate extract, and Collactive, marine collagen from France.

Action 1 : Protect our skin cells from UV rays

Action 2 : Inhibit tyrosinase from producing more melanin which darkens your skin

Action 3 : Inhibit activity f collagenase and elastase, which break down elastin & collagen

Action 4 : Speed up production of new collagen & elastic in our skin

Action 5 : Replesnish loss of collagen and elastin in our skin


So what does all these scientific bull crap means? (I am no science expert so these are my interpretations only, if you know the exact meaning, you are more than welcome to share) 

Action 1 : Sometimes, using sunscreen cream might not be enough unless you are the sort who re-applies sunscreen every 4 hours. This drink works from the inside to help protect your skin from the Mr Sun

Action 2 : Prevents more freckles or pigmentation from popping on your face

Action 3 : Makes your skin less sagging

Action 4 : I have no idea but I would like to think it would make your skin look younger

Action 5 : You will look like you are 12 instead of 18 (jokes) I guess it would be the same as action 4


REVIEW 

Price? 

It retails for $113 per box for a 15 day supply. AHMAGAWD. Thats expensive! However, if you are a member, you can purchase one box for $96 (which is still pricey in my books)

Convenience? 

Well, its a drink so the idea is to mix 1 sachet in 75ml of water, 2 times a day (like most drinks, it is best when the water is cold). Many people might think of this as a hassle but it taste yummeh so I dont mind it at all.

Where can I get it?

You can only purchase this from stockist or members of the brand. They do not sell it at retail outlets

PROS

• Lovely taste 
• Ahh-MAZING results
• (like seriously, after birth has resulted in my skin going cray cray, especially the skin on my armpits. They were like seriously darken! After taking El Marino my armpits has whitened DRAMATICALLY! Like no joke and AND (getting excited here) my skin looks very ermm clean. Like I do not need to apply anything and I still look fresh! Seriously, being a mom of a 4 month old baby can really a toll on your skin but after taking this baby my skin has been thanking me everyday!

CONS

• It is a little pricey but it is cheaper than some other products out there. 
• You can buy it of the shelves, you would need to know a member to purchase one

I seriously panic when I dont have a sachet in my bag just cause I love it so much!!!

Hey Lovelies!

My oh my how time does fly! It's been 2 years since I last updated my blog! Sorry babes! I have been rather preoccupied lately with my job and my life... I just got married! Well six months ago but ya so there were quite a number of significant changes to my life!

That said, my love, passion and desire yes desire for make up, beauty and fashion has not stopped me from trying new products and upgrading myself with better knowledge. I recently attended a make up artistry course again just to increase my knowledge on make up and also to brush up on certain techniques.

Ok enough about my missings and reasons, the next couple of posts I will be doing lotsa reviewes on different skin care and make up products. Also I will be including 'Outfit Of The Day' in my blog posts so please stay tuned!

To be consistent, I think I will put up a new every Monday. This way I have the weekend to really work on those reviews and tutorials :)

Its been like forever since I wrote on this blog. Please forgive me, I had recently started a job and had not gotten use to the routine and thus am always sooo tired after work. Now that I am 3 months into the job, things has gotten better and would be doing more reviews and tutorial soon.

MAC HAUL - FROM MAC SALE 2010

Hey Lolitas,

I was thrilled when one of my friends gave me an invite to an exclusive MAC sale event this week. The sale was from 9am to 8pm and I had intended to go first thing in the morning but due to some piggyness (I woke up late as I was up all night watching a Korean Drama Series), I ended up going at about 3.30pm. So as expected, everything was almost GONE. What was left was so-so and I wouldnt die if I didnt get them.

However, being the make-up retard that I am, I couldnt help but make a few purchases. Not much, but enough to satisfy me. So here it is...my very first post on MAC. MAC HAUL 2010 begins NOW.

5 Sexy Shenanigans - 5 Mini Lipglass/Lustreglass

I know!! How cute right!! The colour palette was too cute to resist. All those soft pastel colours. Makes me feel like singing. PS: Sorry for the pixelated image, I tried to increase the image size in a lazy way and my laziness resulted to this. Sorry guys. Wont be lazy the next time round.

I wanted to do swatches but the colours does not have a big contrast with my skin colour. So I decided not to do coz it looks seriously dull when swatched agaisnt my skin. But trust me when I say these colours are pretty and perfect for ANY skin colour.

I think they retail for about $80 over SGD dollars BUT I got them for $30.00. Yay for me! Hah!

6 Mystic Cool Eyeshadows - Holiday Palette

Ok so this one I wasnt completely LOVING it but I just HAD to buy it coz it was really cheap. Plus I never had that shade of blue/green before and the plum colours are pretty as well (Ok now I am just defending myself) Hahahahaha

From Upper Left to Lower Right: Cool Incantation (Superb Highlighter for browbones), Blue Enchancement, Deep Secret, SHHH Dont Tell, Rose Potion & Violet Vows

I dont know if its just me but whenever I purchase a palette from MAC, the pigments of the eyeshadows are always not as pigmented as the pot ones. Anyone esle noticing that? Or am I just being ridikidoink?? Hmmm...

A MAKE-UP tutorial soon for this? I dont know how yet, need some time to figure this one out. Oh! And this one cost me about $25.00 original retail price at $58.00 or $78.00 cant remember.

Young Thing - Lipglass

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS ONE RIGHT HERE!!!!! Its perfect for that plain, fresh face look which I ADORE!! And goes beautifully when paired with smokey eyes. Seriously such an AWESOME buy. Oly $10.00!!! Weeeeeyaaaa!!!

So in the end, I realise that the purchases made were not at all retarded huh? I mean they were pretty decent purchases are pretty decent prices. So I am not such a make-up retard afterall (This is meant to be a statement not a question, so dont bother answering..hahahaha)

Today I want to talk about a product that has been sooo good to me. It has been an amazing product and I have made up my mind about it being the BEST moisturiser that I have used so far. Yes in my whole 24 years of life... this is by far one of the best if not the BEST moisturiser I have ever owned. And no.... I am not exaggerating.

FOLLOW ME UV WHITE (O2 ADVANCED) MOISTURISER

O2 Advanced Skincare System. A new skincare line from Follow Me.

So what is the O2 Advanced Skincare System? (Taken from product description)

It packs all benefits of oxygen to revive every cell for superior anti-ageing properties. Coupled with an advanced Vitamin C to whiten skin and combat pigmentation. (I am loving the sound of it already, sold yet?)

So the moisturiser is? (Taken from product description)

The 02 Advanced Moisturiser is further infused with Advance Moisture Complex and Ceramide Catiosphere to enhance moisturisation, skin repair and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

Application? (Taken from product description)

Apply desired amount over clean face. Can be used as a day time and night time moisturiser.

Price?

It is soooo friggin reasonble. Like $13.00 - $15.00 for a 60ml tube.

Where can I find it?

Pros

• Cheap
• It is light yet not sooo light - light enough not to make your face look like a frying pan and heavy enough to know or feel that your face is being moisturised
• Nice simple packaging
• Smells good
• Paraben FREE (for more information of the goodness of PARABEN FREE products please click HERE)
• No irritation/No break outs
• Good for sensitive skin

Cons

• The whitening effect is not immediate, you have to use it for like 1 - 2 months before you can see a WHITENING effect. Having said that, your face does feel softer/supple after like a few days of using this product

Final Verdict

I will continue using it like forever until they discontinue it or something. HOORAY for cheap and effective moisturiser. No holes in my pocket!

So if you want a cheaper alternative to those expensive departmental store brands... FOLLOW ME is the best option!
