Question
How do you react when someone honestly told you that you are fat and flabby, well since the last time the person saw you. Isnt it only human to be upset about that comment for awhile (like maybe 30mins or less)? I knew I asked for complete honesty but I was affected by the answer because I have been extremely religious on my exercise regime in Perth. I was not upset by the person who told me the truth, I was upset at myself for not noticing that I was doing something wrong.
I feel like fuck.
Just when I thought my skin was getting better, 3 more pimples decided to join the acne party on my face. Asked my dermatologist and she informed me that it is completely normal for pimples to pop out within the first month of taking the roaccutane. Great just what I needed, more pimples.
I feel like fuck.
I ask myself every now and then if I am happy. It was always a definate yes previously. But now, I am more doubtful of my answer.
Life is tougher than death. But I enjoy life, I really do. In fact, I love life. I just dont understand it at times, thats all.

Another apology
Random note:
I am still very much in love with make-up but it seems that I dont play around with it as much lately because of my skin. Remember I told you how horrendous it was/still is....well went to a dermatologist Dr Ang Por and she prescribed me Roaccutance. She warned me of the side effects but because of beauty sake I am willing to endure it.
Been taking on for almost 3 weeks now and I must say its pretty good. My acne is clearing up well and my scars seems to be lightening as well.
Side Effects (personal experience)
- Very dry lips (cracks soooo badly, you need to apply like lip balm every 1/2 an hour, no joke)
- Your skin would be dry too, so moisturizer is a MUST
- You MUST drink TONS of water, at least 2 litres or more if not your skin and lips would be even more dry. I didnt take the whole drinking thing seriously, and my lips bled and cracked and it was damn painful. Water helps...so please do drink.
- It is a very strong drug so please please please follow the rules.
DO NOT (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Get pregant when you are on Roaccutane as it is very toxic for the baby. The baby would either die or be deformed
- However, your chances of getting pregant with a healthy fetus would not be jepordized once you are completely off the medication. So mummy wannabes, no worries, your wishes for a happy family would still come true with the addition of beautiful SKIN.
The doctor advised me to take the medication for about 6 to 8 months. Sigh hate being on daily meds, its very troublesome. But for beauty, I'll do it. I'll be posting more on health related and beauty stuff rather than make-up. So please do drop by yea? I'm going to update my blog MORE OFTEN. PROMISE!
PS: This is drug/medication is so potent and strong that a waiver form have to be signed once you have agreed to the roaccutane. This is to ensure that you are not currently pregant or are not planning to have a baby. I knwo right, kinda scary.
Till then chicas...

I'm BACK
I have to share a lil heartbreaking news....my face is a horror site...pimples think that my face is a playground for reproduction and has been reproducing (variety of shapes and sizes) all around my face...esp the cheeks, chin and forehead...Its bad real bad. So bad that when I met my family and friends, they went like...aiyo what happen to your face (with that OMG your face condition is damn bad facial expression). So yes I am sooo not exxagerating.
Cant wait to go to Dr Ang Por this coming wednesday. To people who want to consult with her, you better make an early appointment coz I tried making one last thursday and next wednesday was the EARLIEST available slot. So yes she is that good and popular.
During the last 2 weeks in Perth this semester, I have been using Proactive (given by my best friend in Perth and sil) and it actually does work. I tried the trial size ones when I back in Singapore last year and it didnt do shit for my face. Apparently, there has been rumours that the Proactive in Australia and Singapore are different. Alot of users claim that the one in Singapore does not work and the one in Australia does. I did not know this until I tried the Proactive in Australia and was amazed to find out that it actually worked. When I told my sil about it, she then told me the little rumour. So yea, go figure. I say purchase Proactive online.
Nothing much to say except...pray for my face people pray!! I will pray for yours too...hehehe...everyone is beautiful...you just have to realize it first...until you do, plastic surgery is a GREAT option (hahahah...I SO KID)

Dermatologist review
Dr Joyce Lim
Experience
- The receptionist at the clinic were extremely unfriendly almost to point of being rude.
- I had to wait for a further hour although I had already made an appointment
- Receptionist then showed me to consultation room where I had to wait for a further 15 mins
- Dr Joyce Lim was finally ready to see me.....FOR FRIGGIN 5 MINS...NO I AM NOT EXXXXXXXXXAGERATING!!!
- When I wanted to ask her questions regarding my skin, she didnt see the importance to answer my question and just on explaining whatever she was explaining before.
- She is a cold person.
- Not friendly.
- She even told me that whatever creams I use, it would NEVER remove my acne scars. She insisted that the only way is to do laser treatments. Funny. My previous scars are gone now.
Lotions and Potions
- Her stuff does really work
- The best one is her sunscreen cream...SPF 70
Price
- Pricy as hell.
Verdict
I went back to her two after the first visit. I finally decided to stop going when I had to wait for close to 2 hours just to see her despite making an appointment. Her receptionist were rude and I hate rude people. I need a doctor who cares, she doesnt give a rat's ass.

Dermatology Associates - Dr Ang Por
Experience
- Appointment necessary.
- Waiting time less than 15 mins.
- Recep girls were very very friendly
- Dr Ang Por is my favourite, she is soooo nice and she list down all the options for you and explain each option in detail. Afterwhich, she would recommend the best option for your skin
- She is super friendly
- She really does care for your skin
- Makes you feel very comfortable and happy knowing that there is "hope" (ok la a lil dramatic on my part)
Lotions and Potions
- Very light
- I love it .... nuff said
Price
- Way cheaper than the (I think I am the best in Singapore) doctor above
Overall Verdict
- I love Dr Ang Por!! She is seriously the bomb. Hahahaha.

SYY Skin Club
Experience
- Friendly staff. Appointment necessary
- Picture of your face would be taken
- The doctor was alright I cant even remember his name, thats how insignificant the experience was to me
- It was just damn BLAH
Lotions and Potions
- I kinda like it, it really makes your face radiant.
- Its esp good for people with like bad textured skin but I wouldnt recommend if you are acne prone.
Price
- Reasonable for sure, not like U KNOW WHO
- Oh and their treatments like chemical peels and stuff are really cheap. Like $80.00 per session or something close to that.
Overall Verdict
- I loved their products. Hmmm... maybe I should go back huh...hahaha..

Dr KC Tan Skin Clinic
Experience
- I go there more for eczema than for my acne problems
- The receptionist there are the best ever!!! I super love them. Very Very Very nice.
- He is the cutest sweetest doctor you can ever meet!!! Seriously, he really really cares.
- But again, I think he is more specialized for like eczema or like skin dieseases rather then acne and stuff.
- I did try to go to him for acne once, and well he recommend a few things to clear my acne.
- Basically he just doesnt have those private brand lotions and stuff like other dermatologist
Lotions and Potions
- Definately works
Price
- He is alright, not too bad
Overall Verdict
- Will always go to him for my eczema issues..

Oatmeal Face Mask
1) What you need?
Ingredient ONE

Yogurt helps to reduce redness caused by irritations of inflammations from acne. (Mild acne)
2) Directions
Mix two tablespoon of oatmeal, two tablespoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of honey in a clean bowl
Mix the ingredients together until it becomes a paste. (Add a little warm water about a teaspoon if necessary)
Hmmmm ...... YUMMM!! NOT!
Slap the paste all over your face evenly.
VERDICT - 2/5 lippies
I didnt really like it. Didnt make my face feel so soft or anything. I do have very sensitive skin so maybe my face was not recetive to some of the products...although natural...it didnt seem to work for me.
However, I do know of many people who have claim that this mask is WONDERFUL. So why not try it for yourself. Its not expensive and if you dont like it you can eat the ingredients bought afterwards...HAH!!
Have fun trying!!
Till Then
